Mapping Cause Groups

The Mapping tab allows you to separate events out into distinct cause groups for modeling. This can be done manually by defining all of the groups individually or automatically using the Automap button. Wishbone's automapping feature uses machine learning to automatically separate events into logical groups for modeling. For our simple example, we will take advantage of the automapping functionality. The results of that look like this:
We know this is a simple tape with four interrupts, so it isn't surprising that the automapper split it into four cause groups. However, this functionality extends into much more complex tapes, where the benefits increase.
After you are happy with the cause groups that have been both excluded and mapped, you can click the "Estimate" button to parameterize both uptime and downtime distributions for each group.
